We are Pat Roberts and Sherry Spencer the mother-daughter proprietors of Pat’s Floral Designs a floral boutique that has specialized in wedding and event flowers since 1986. 

We are as passionate about our beautiful flowers as we are about providing exceptional service to our clients. We pride ourselves on providing superior quality in flowers and top-notch service with only the finest attention to detail.

We strive to create a unique floral signature for each and every client, creating a memorable event that reflects your distinct personality and makes your dreams a reality.
Our designs are inspired by gardens and all things natural. We love abundant floral arrangements overflowing with garden-style flowers, fruits and vines – some wild, others cultivated and many wholly unexpected. Although ours is mostly that of garden style, we like to dabble in all styles, constantly reinventing our style and incorporating yours. This is how we keep our passion for flowers alive. We believe when you love what you do it shows!
We do not offer packages, instead we price every event on an individual basis after a comprehensive initial consultation. We have an extensive portfolio of our work and we will never use standard florist design books for consultations. We show photos of our work and pay close attention to your reactions for insight into your style and vision. We use this for inspiration in creating a unique design plan for your occasion.

The initial consultation is offered free of charge and is followed by a detailed proposal in writing. We will only accept a limited number of events per weekend in order to maintain our high standards. We will pencil you in on our calendar from the date of our initial consultation, but require a 50% deposit once the proposal has been approved to secure the date.

We mostly serve Charlottesville, Va. and the surrounding areas. We will travel for destination weddings, but would require our services to be booked in advance for the entire day at a specified minimum. We advise that you consider your floral budget at 10-12% of your entire budget and to have realistic expectations based on your guest count.

We often have initial consultations as early as a year in advance for the busy months (May, June, & October) and suggest contacting us at least 6 months in advance for other times of the year.

The “magic” that results on wedding days for Southern Blooms clients is actually the well-calculated result of months of planning and then a specific week’s worth of inventory management, rental accumulation, flower inventorying, and then of course, floral design and install.

We are happy to introduce you to the ladies that make the “magic” of Southern Blooms possible; without every single person here we would not be able to accomplish all that we do and we are so grateful to have them with us every step of the way!
